Now a seasoned homeowner and real estate investor, Valerie bought her first home in 1977 -- a three-bedroom, one-bath, aluminum-sided bungalow in the suburbs of Detroit. The house was listed for $22,500 and had a tiny kitchen with no appliances. Several rooms were dressed with metallic wallpaper and the large utility area had been painted half blue and half yellow -- horizontally! Nonetheless, she was delighted with her first purchase.
Twenty years later, Valerie began selling real estate professionally. She has consistently ranked in the top 2% of her firm and is a 4th year member of Prudential’s Real Estate Network’s Chairman’s Circle. Since 1997, her business has grown by 760%, with a sales volume of nearly $100 million and hundreds of satisfied clients.
A graduate of Florida State University, Valerie has also been a government executive, a diplomatic envoy, a marketing consultant, an educational administrator, a financial officer, a property manager and a construction supervisor. She has lived in eleven states, the District of Columbia and two foreign countries, and has moved a total of 39 times.
